Feasibility of Establishment an International Organization to Preserve the Persian Language

Abstract

Today, many organizations and institutions have been established in the world based on cultural, linguistic, identity and historical commonalities, and along other factors, the role of language and culture in the formation of these organizations and institutions is prominent. Despite the fact that Persian-speaking countries have many dependencies and commonalities in terms of race, language and history, until now they have not taken a joint action for preserving their common cultural heritage (Persian language). In this research, using a descriptive-analytical method, we are looking for the feasibility of forming an international organization to preserve the Persian language. The findings of the research show that due to the cultural, religious and historical commonalities and the deep cultural influence of the Persian language in the region, cooperation between Persian-speaking countries are possible, and the mentioned countries have the basic prerequisites for establishing a regional organization, and these countries, through inspiration from organizations that are formed based on language solidarity, can establish a regional organization and by using the functional capacities of this organization (Normativisation, Legislation, Supervision, and Executive Actions) they can support, strengthen and expand the Persian language
