Sustainable employment of prisoners is a new approach to the production boom

Abstract

  Employment and the implementation of the requirements for boosting national production are recent concerns in Iran and represent a significant strategy for improving the economic situation of society. In this regard, it has been prioritized as one of the driving projects in the transformation document of the judiciary, placed on the agenda of the Prison Organization and the Educational and Protective Measures as the executing authority. This research aims to examine the advantages of investing in the enhancement and promotion of employment for prisoners and to provide innovative solutions for managing their job opportunities as human resources under the control of the government. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical method, the study has been conducted through the examination of documents, books, articles, and online resources. Additionally, efforts have been made to include interviews with stakeholders in this sector of the prison system as a tool for gathering information, thereby enriching the scope of this study to enhance its strength and comprehensiveness. This article aims to provide a career outlook for prisoners post-release, seeking to improve job conditions, sustainable employment, and the promotion of products resulting from prisoners' jobs, as well as to unify existing laws regarding the enhancement of businesses in this segment of society.
Guiding prisoners in their employment continuity not only prevents recidivism but also serves as an effective strategy for contributing to job creation and enhancing national production qualitatively and quantitatively.
