A step toward Justice:
Legislative Pathology of Laws Related to Advocacy Institution
Justice, as a globalized phenomenon and favorite to every body, but with local and controversial examples, is a matter which has been the basis for national and international debates. There are endless arguments about the meaning and scope of justice. Historical evidence clearly show that meaning and examples of justice have changed according to the requirements of specific time and place. Something maybe deemed just in a specific context and unjust in another one. Laws should be compatible with justice requirements, but this is not always necessarily the case. So laws must be subject to continuous revision and whenever inefficiency or incompatibility with justice is found, those laws must be reformed immediately and unconditionally. Otherwise, the society will face a large amount of unaccepted and unenforceable laws. This is the case in the laws related to advocacy. This paper having a descriptive - analytical approach, does a legislative pathology about advocacy laws of Iran with an emphasis on justice requirements and provides some legislative proposals for promotion of advocates status in one hand and serving justice to people on the other hand and finally creating a balance between the different parts of the justice system.
